The United Arab Emirates officially inaugurated this morning the Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action, in order to provide urgent medical and shelter aid worth five million dollars to refugees from Ukraine to neighboring countries, especially Poland, through coordination with the Polish government and United Nations organizations, in response to an appeal UN Urgent, Regional Refugee Response Plan for Ukraine.
In a related context, His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, who is the deputy of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, showed in a statement to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), that the current directive comes as an extension of the UAE’s humanitarian efforts to stand by the affected and needy people around the world and alleviate their suffering. .
In this regard, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the UAE for this initiative, which reflects the Kingdom’s right humanitarian approach, which raises the value of the human being.
It should be noted that Ukrainian refugees are currently facing record humanitarian conditions, since the outbreak of war in Ukraine due to the Russian invasion at the end of last February.
